CREDC and FOSBEC Join ASG Consortium
The African Salvation Group continues its initiative of local community organizations' capacity-building in DR Congo. Two new partners signed the Memorandum of Agreement with ASG in Kinshasa, DR Congo. In May 2005 CREDC and FOSBES joined our consortium in the fight against HIV and its related health and social problems.
In this agreement, the African Salvation Group is tasked to design the projects, train the staff of the partner organizations who are involved in the projects, seek and/or provide seed funding for the projects, and supervises, monitor and measure of their impacts. On their part, local partners will mobilize, sensitize, convene their communities’ members to their meetings, and conduct the education and prevention workshops.
Evidence has demonstrated that involving our local partners in their communities’ needs assessment, the design of the initiative and its implementation, along with its monitoring and evaluation will strengthen their capacity and promotes the sustainability of the initiative long after ASG has moved on.
The African Salvation Group will do our best to aid CREDC and FOSBEC extend the campaign to prevent the spread of HIV, STI, TB, and Malaria in Kinshasa.
